December

Like transparent pearls
strung
along dark branches,
the winter rain
clings
to bare limbs,
stark
denuded of leaves,
but dressed this morning
with tiny baubles
nature's own ornaments
temporary holiday hints
on a rainy day
out of season.

How I love winter now!
My own season,
dusk arriving
sometimes before dinner,
darkness
cozy around me
like extra bedding
in the morning -
evening
of my life.

A perfect reflection for this time of the year and one that touched me with its warmth and promise. There is so much I love about your blog but this one is especially dear to me.
Through the hole in the sky... that precise blueness releases The Mystery.
Thanks for your inspiration and Blessings for the remaining hours of Advent -may they bring you sacred graces.
